Mayra García-Zeda, MHSN, RDN, is licensed in Texas (License #DT86317) with more than 10 years of clinical experience. She's cared for patients in hospitals, dialysis clinics and telehealth programs across Texas and Puerto Rico. Sessions are in English or Spanish, whichever feels like home.

Does insurance cover a dietitian in Texas?
Often, yes. Many Texas plans cover medical nutrition therapy for digestive conditions. We're in network with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas, Curative and Superior HealthPlan, and we see Aetna, Cigna and UnitedHealthcare patients through Nourish. Coverage depends on your plan and diagnosis, so we verify your benefits first.
What is Nourish, and why would I book through them?
Nourish is a telehealth platform that's in network with Aetna, Cigna and UnitedHealthcare. If you have one of those plans, you sign up through our Nourish link and see Mayra by video, same as any other patient. Nourish just handles the billing.
I have Curative. What will a visit cost?
Curative covers in-network care at $0 once you've completed your Baseline Visit. We're in network, so that should include your visits with us. Confirm with Curative, then book direct.
Do I need a referral?
Some plans require one. If yours does, your doctor can fax a referral to 478-210-5271.
Can I see a dietitian online anywhere in Texas?
Yes. Every visit is by video from home. All you need is a phone or computer and a quiet spot.
